Thanks to the advice of community, I am planning to make Havlet one of my keepers. I've been reading and thinking about potential trades before the draft.
Who would your rather have this season? Gaborik or Havlet? Been reading some good things about Gaborik (health wise) for this year.

i'd definitely rather have Havlat. He had a great season last year, and he's playing on a better team. He and Bouchard should have some instant chemistry, and Koivu is playing the best hockey of his career. With Minnesota's promise for an uptempo, offensive style, it seems like Havlat is poised for a great year.
Gaborik could definitely match him in points, but he's a higher risk, in my opinion. Plus most people are saying Avery might be on L1. When Avery is playing on your opposite wing, how much scoring are you going to do?
I'd go with Marty

Both guys are risky without a doubt, but I like Havlat as well. Everything I've read as well says that Minnesota is supposed to score a ton more points like and has kick that defense-first philosophy to the curb. That remains to be seen, but still Havlat would be my choice.

If both could stay healthy no question in my mind gabby would be the guy. Id even gamble and take him.

Every1 pretty much summed up what I would say. Both are risky but Havlat is the less risky of the two, but Gaborik could put up serious points and be creeping up on a 90 pts season when healthy. Go with your gut because when both are playing they both won't make you regret it because they both will produce. It's just a matter of which guy will miss the least amount of games which I would say would be Havlat.

Maybe you should consider league depth.
Both are risks to go out for a time so what would that impact be. In a shallow league, you may have a decent option on your bench while in a deep league, you might not have a lot of good options. So the deeper the league is the less risk tolerant it is on the high end of your lineup.
The deeper the league, the more I'd lean toward Havlat. The shallower, the more toward Gaborik

Gaborik for me since the injury bug is with both players I think Gaborik is a top 5 player if he could be healthy although havlat is probably less of a risk this season.

If both remain healthy, I'll take Gaborik anyday. Both are injury risks, so you just have to go with the guy with more scoring upside and thats definitely Gabby.

I like Gaborik too. Him in Tortorella's offensive system could mean 100 points.
