I always accepted this as fact but not tell now have i stopped to wonder why.

i guess because the majority of hockey players are left-handed, and thus end up on the LW a lot? so it's easier for a right-handed shooter to get into the NHL, and thus the RWs aren't as good as the LWs?
or because the majority of centermen are left-handed, so they're more easily set up by their left winger, which gives the LW more points?
or it's just a little bit of a drought, and in a few years there will be plenty of high-scoring RWs and we'll be looking for the LWs!
