All of these are just rampant speculation, guesses, and hunches from me...feel free to add your own.
- The Islanders take Hedman 1st overall, Tampa takes Tavares 2nd
- The Kings will trade their 1st round pick.
- Leafs GM Brian Burke will not make a huge draft day trade, and ends up taking one of Brayden Schenn, Evander Kane or Zack Kassian with his pick.
- Dany Heatley is traded to Florida, with Nathan Horton and the rights to JayBo going back to Ottawa. Florida gets a conditional 2010 1st round if JayBo re-signs in Ottawa, and a 2010 3rd round pick if he doesn't.
- Vincent Lecavalier is traded to Edmonton in a deal for Shawn Horcoff, Denis Grebeshkov, 2009 1st
- Panthers name TSN analyst Pierre McGuire new GM.
- The Devils will name Peter Laviolette new head coach.
- Boston will not trade Kessel.

It's so much harder to market a European D-man with 'great hockey sense,' than the guy who broke Gretzky's scoring record in the OHL. For that reason I see the Islanders taking Tavares, solely because the Islanders need big time support to get a new arena.

I think there is some truth to that. Islanders need to sell tickets and a uber scorer will do that better. Its hard to market a hedman or duchene pick to the masses even though it may be better in the long run.
Gustivsun signs with leafs, Burke makes some back room off the record deals to make sure Schenn is available for 7th, and trades Toskala, Stajan, Kubina, Grabovski to tampa for vinny and a handful of bad contracts. (kidding)
