A bus carrying the Albany River Rats home from a game against the Lowell Devils crashed on the Mass Turnpike early this morning after losing control due to poor road conditions. Four players and the team's color commentator were injured in the crash. Nicolas Blanchard, Joe Jensen, Casey Borer, and Jonathan Paiement were named as the injured players. The injuries were described as serious, but not life-threatening.
Sounds like it was pretty bad -- the bus rolled over and a lot of players were cut and bruised pretty badly. Yikes.

Dang...as if having to take the bus between games on roadtrips wasn't bad enough already...luckily nothing too serious happened, this sounds like it could have been downright deadly.

It's a damn shame that this happens, but I guess it's a part of life. I hope all the injured have a speedy recovery.
