I'm in a salary cap keeper league. I have Brodeur under contract and had Fernandez and Gerber last season. I am able to sign 2 more goalies for up to 4 year contracts. Out of the above 12 goalies, which two would you sign? Our draft is done on a bidding system where we offer contracts and highest bidder after 3 rounds gets the player. I am currently considering signing Ward and Fernandez to 1 year contracts. Scoring categories are W, L, GAA & SV%. Thanks, Chill

Toivonen and Ward.
Fernandez is good now, but Harding will be the starter in 2-3 years.
Depends how long term you are looking.

I don't know if I understand your situation, but I would try to get Cam Ward. In a league that has both W and L categories, a goaltender's record is very important, and I feel that Carolina is as safe a bet as any right now.
Might keep an eye on Hasek as well, just to see if he'll come cheap, but there are obviously better options than him.

Definitely chase Cam Ward.
Fernandez and Toivonen are also very good choices, but if we're talking about record you might want to look at Bryzgalov.
I expect him to be the starter for Anaheim. But, it might be a risk with Giguere still kicking around. If he is the bonafide starter, not only will his record be fairly good but his GAA will be pretty good as well because he'll benefit from having Pronger and Niedermayer on the ice in front of him in every game. And, he'll probably come fairly cheap as he would be under most people's radar.
Failing that I wouldn't shy away from either Gerber (who had a tremendous regular season) or Huet (to a lesser extent).

I'm also in a 12 team keeper pool where we carry-over 3 guys each year. So far I am set on keeping Alfredsson and Iginla but I'm unsure of my third. Who would you keep Gagne, Savard, Visnovsky, Pitkanen, R. Miller, M. Fernandez? I'm leaning between Gagne and Miller.
In this pool we play 7 forwards, 3 defence, 2 goalies with the standard stat categories (G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SHP, GWG, SOG, W, GA, SV, SO).
If you are wondering why my keepers are so weak it's because I traded Kovalchuk last year to win the pool but now I'm paying the price. Let me know what you think.

I really like Ward a lot and although I mistakenly hit Toivonen I would probably take Cam. He's a young guy with plenty of upside and he plays for a better team, but do not overpay for Ward based on what happened in the playoffs. I've got a feeling his production is going to be somewhere between what he did in the regular season and what he did in the playoffs. Also, the thing that hurts the value of Fernandez and Gerber is simply their age. Both play on very good defensive teams and should be nice year-to-year options, but their age makes them less attractive in a keeper league than the younger guys like Bryzgalov, Toivonen and Ward.
