How does this affect his fantasy value?

It helps his value, but depending on how Calgary plans on trimming salary is going to be interesting because somewhere on that roster something will take a hit. As long as Calgary don't lose both offensive talents like Cammalleri/Jokinen he should do fine. Regardless, kudos to the Flames for pulling off a great deal and being able to get an agreement done when it almost seemed apparent that Jaybo was going to hit the open market for serious cash.

I think the Flames have a lot more work to do. They've got $21 million invested in their top 4 d-men.
They also have 4 million in cap space left to sign 5 more guys, just to fill out an NHL roster.
On top of that they only have three legitimate top six forwards (Iginla, Jokinen, Langkow...maybe Bourque). So they' need to spend some cash on someone who can score. I guess they'll end up trading Sarich, or Regher if they can find any takers.

Great for CGY but like you say they are in deep cap trouble now.
I wouldn't be suprised to see his numbers go down. CGY has that effect with their defensive system and only a handful of scorers. I think value stays same or declines.
