I'd join, if not for the simple fact that I know absolutely, positively, nothing about college basketball.

that's not nearly a good enough reason.

I hate march madness. Maybe it's because I live in Kentucky, which is home to the most ridiculous basketball....wait scratch that, home to the most ridiculous fans of any sport period on the planet.
I understand that Kentucky basketball is normally a powerhouse, but in the 7-8 yrs I've lived here they've gone from good to mediocre, to pretty much horrible....yet the fans around here still believe they're one of the best teams in the nation who catch "bad breaks" or have "off nights." Perhaps that's true.....but when every off night they have happens to be a game night....that's called a bad team. I grew up around Rabid Michigan football, and diehard Wings fans....and they do not compare to Wildcat retard-nation. This city shuts down on Basketball nights, which is great for me....no traffic, no lines, no crowds, and during march madness not even my own friends will go out. Granted....I'm just as bad during the NHL playoffs, but my team is actually in the playoffs.
This year of course everyone has been wrapped up in the coaching controversy, and it's about the equivalent of discussing reality tv with dudes, because really there isn't much to talk about. It's all speculation. Why'd he get fired? Who will they hire? It's the same as "who's the bachelor going to pick?" Why'd he kick the hot girl off?" Sadly I think I'd rather discuss the Bachelor. I'm glad the whole thing is over and they finally signed Cappalini, or whatever his name is. Now I have 6 months of listening to UK fans talking about how the new coach and the new recruits are going to bring them a national championship this year, and then another six months of them talking about "it's going to take a year to rebuild."
The whole thing makes me glad I'm a hockey fan.
