For Lombardi, Prust and a 1st rounder.
Wow, the Flames are a force to deal with now. I can only hope that Jokinen's lack of playoff experience comes into play.

Jokinen's salary next year probably means Cammalleri wont be re-signed next year.

Lombardi needed a fresh start and he'll get plenty of opportunities to do that in Phoenix. Jokinen brings a big centerman to Calgary that they've always desperately wanted. I really like this deal for both teams. I expect Jokinen's fantasy value to shoot through the roof, while Lombardi's should also increase because he should get more powerplay time in Phoenix, and in exchange, his plus/minus probably suffers a bit.

Yeah I think Calgary may be making another trip to the finals barring a major meltdown in the playoffs. Kipper's having a good year. They're solid on defense. They're tough, and they've got enough offense up front so that Iginla doesn't have to carry the entire load.
I'm surprised the Coyotes dealt Jokinen. He seemed to be the piece they acquired to build all their young talent around. But he hasn't been a good fit in Phoenix.

Jokinen was not the same player in Pheonix. Not sure why. This move could be good for him. From Florida to Phonix to Calgary. I hope he owns a winter coat. Maybe he can snag Lombardi's.
I love the idea of Calgary finally having a big power superstar center.
