All the sites talk about Montreal going after everyone, but they've said time after time they're looking for an offensive defenceman (done with Schneider) and a scoring centre. I'm pretty sure they're not going to acquire another winger, they've got tons of good young talent on the wings.

montreal's on every list because they're under the most pressure to win. big, angry market like montreal, plus the fact that they were the #1 seed last year, people had big expectations that aren't being filled. So until something is done (and yes, schneider helped that), they'll continue making all the lists.

Andy Strickland, one of the best bloggers out there IMO, reports that its not Washington, New Jersey or Boston.
Personally, I think its Pittsburgh.

I think his leadership and his ability to finish would be a good fit in Pit.

i wouldn't mind it as long as it doesn't cost too much. a kunitz-crosby-guerin line could have a lot of grit. think they'd take satan back? haha

Sportsnet.ca is reporting that Guerin will only waive his No Trade Clause to go to an Eastern Conference team.
That has to hurt his trade value. There are potentially 14 buyers in the west, but only 10 buyers in the east.

Spector, whose opinion I typically respect, is reporting that Boston, Montreal, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Florida, Carolina, and Buffalo have all denied that they're involved with Guerin.
That leaves five teams: Toronto, Ottawa, Tampa Bay, Atlanta and, of course, Washington. The first 4 are all in the bottom 5, and are all but out of the playoff picture -- they are not buyers. So it appears Washington is all that's left if he is to be dealt at all.
How will lines look in Washington with Guerin?

Maybe slide Fleischmann to LW, send Fehr down to L3, and put Guerin at RW on L2?

Yea, Fleischmann and Fehr aren't huge scoring threats at this point in their career. I think Guerin would look good in the capitals top 6, even though he's not European .
