Shanahan has finally found a home, signing with the NJ Devils today. Interesting - not exactly where I expected him to end up, and I'm not sure it'll have a huge impact, but time will tell.

How well do you think he'll fare in the Fantasy World?

Depends on what line he hits and the powerplay time if any.

yeah, i think he could have some value on L2 and the PP if that's where he ends up. should be interesting to see where he starts practicing. i wouldn't go pick him up just yet, though.

I've dropped rolston for langenbrunner in my endless search for a wing, and when I saw this last night I was wondering if Shanny or one of the current guys will be the one with the biggest upside of this.
it definitely doesn't hurt you if you have elias, parise etc, the top guys. or clemmenson. This year's been horrible for me to find wingers in the FA market. I have wheeler atm, have taken spins on ponikarovsky, prospal, backes, kunitz... they'er all just marginal in our league, not enough to go against the other 9 teams.
on Shanny: If you like PIMs and PPP, and likely the odd GWG, he will be helpful. I don't see even at 40 him being out there only on 3rd line. Much like Tkachuk still having an effect in st.lous, I would think they'd put Shanny out there when they're down a goal with 60 seconds left. He's that good. Wouldn't surprise me if he's on PP1, if not, he's def on PP2. L2 for even strength most likely yes, but it depends on his conditioning.

Looks like He'll start on Monday @ Nashville. Last I heard Shanahan has the most points by any player against the Predators.
