From Rotoworld:
Martin Brodeur-G-Devils Nov. 4 - 12:32 pm et Martin Brodeur will undergo surgery to repair the distal bicep in his left elbow.
The Devils will not have an update on Brodeur's timeline until after the surgery, although pundits have said this surgery will sideline him three-to-four months.

i think he meant fantasy-wise.
i doubt the devils will make any moves here... weekes really isn't that bad of a backup, and should be able to keep the team at, or just below, .500 while marty's out. They're not in cup contention this year, so it's not worth it to bring on anyone, imo.
however, Colorado should pick up Roloson ASAP.

The seemingly inhuman, workhorse that is Brodeur has finally been broken.
Wow. He was my no. 1 pick in one of my main leagues. This is a HUGE loss to tthe Devils, not to mention my club.

I read this from the Daily Herald:
Chicago GM Dale Tallon says that he will call New Jersey GM Lou Lamoriello about Nikolai Khabibulin.
The Devils have lost Martin Brodeur for the next 3-4 months with surgery on his elbow and the Devils only have Kevin Weekes in goal right now. The Blackhawks would love to rid themselves of Khabibulin's $6.75 million salary and pick up a top-six forward later. Khabibulin has been outstanding this season and if Weekes gets off to a weak start, the Devils may come calling. Stay tuned. Nov. 5 - 7:09 am et Source: Chicago Daily Herald

Update:
Sat, Jan 17 G Martin Brodeur is on target for a late February/early March return from torn biceps surgery on his left arm. Columbus rookie goalie sensation Steve Mason said Friday Brodeur was his idle growing up. (Yahoo! Sports) ------------------------------ I know what your thinking, and yeah that last sentence is completely random.
Not to mention the miss use of the word Idle

I've been second-guessing not picking up clemmenson for mid-season points but I originally reasoned that Marty would be back for the end of season when you need your goalies to work. So far it looks like I'm right. In a roto format, Clemm great, but head to head, he's likely not gonna be in net when the season's done.

Rotoworld is reporting Brodure is personally targetting a Feb 26th return. TSN also reports he has been cleared to participate in full practices.
From the sounds of it he is absolutely itching to get back in the game. He also has been qoated as saying he's in the best shape of his life. There have been some speculation on a slow return and or contraversy with Clemmenson. But honeslty I wouldn't be suprised to see brodure hit this date and play almost every game for the rest of the season.

I activated him the day before his shutout as well. I also acquired him in a trade in my dynasty keeper league the night before he came back.
