lol..........I laughed when i saw this.... --------------------------------------------------------------- I just calculated it up. There are about 910 members and only around 330 have posted at least once. I've always wanted to take the time to do that but I never have...like i've stated on here many times before, I'd rather have 20 quality members than 100 members who never post. We have a great group of solid people that come here everyday. I'm grateful for that.

You know I've never really noticed those drop down menu's before. Although I tend to use this site for different reasons. I tend to come here more for the advice with trades and free agents, and to read opinions.
I honestly forget how I came across this site, or why I ever started posting here. But as Hitman mentioned having a daily ritual. This site tends to be part of my ritual....and it also is my main source of procrastination when I'm trying to get something done.
I think everyone gets different uses out of this site, but as long as the rewards out weigh the effort required to be here and acquire information the core group of people will stick around and new people will find there way here as well.

I don't think there's anything wrong with them. I've never found this site difficult to use at all. I just come here for different reasons so I'm not looking for quick info. I'm normally here to read or post a thread.

Me - said a guy who's been around here a bit - I didn't know they were there or more importantly what they contained - but I am an old dog - not so bright in my ways
I wonder when the drop downs don't show when in the forums if that is a limiting factor? Scratch that they do show!

Yeah, I didn't realize that the drop downs were there until I began with the injury report and was lucky enough to have it posted there. Maybe we can do something to emphasize the ease of navigation the drop down menu provides, it a nice way to get around to the important stuff.

Well first off I have never seen the drop-down menus before, but I'm the kinda guy who builds the ikea wall unit without reading the directions. So in the end if it works for me I stick with it, even if it means I have 3 extra parts when its all built.... Personally I've had less time lately then I've had in the past, but I still try to e-mail Zoom Waffles the Rangers' lines as much as possible and try to hit the rest of the site too. What I've noticed is that we're getting less respones in the help forums. If I post something in "The Wire" or under "Trade Advice" I kinda feel obligated to at least try to answer some other people's questions right then and there.... (of course I frequently come on just to read and answer questions) The "regulars" seem to get this concept and help eachother out, the "newbies" don't always get it. This is what tends to happen on most forums, people only care about there own questions and don't bother helping out others and the forum gets used less and less. I'd hate to see that happen to HU cause this site is an amazing resource.

I couldn't agree more, I try hard to answer as many questions as possible, but I notice that a lot of the newer owners don't reciprocate the advice. That's why what HHM says is all the more important. It's better to have 10 quality guys than 100 guys that don't participate. As long as we continue to provide top-rate advice and guides(such as the incredible work Zoom puts in on the line combinations) we'll get traffic and add some better owners as our traffic increases.

I recently made a deal to start my own hockey website -- something I wanted to do since graduating journalism school. It will have a fantasy hockey section and I'd be glad to plug and post links to HU.
HU's been a big help to me and an interesting hobby of sorts -- I've found it increases my knowledge answering the inquiries of others on the site as it encourages research before offering an opinion.
Thanks again to all those who've posted in the past and will in the future.
