Apparently Greg Johnson has retired because of an abnormal heart problem.
No offense to Johnson, because I always liked him as a player, but......Johnson was one of the few "big" signing's the Wings GM made this summer. I wonder what he's going to do now?
Playing for the Wings must be stressful, that's the second player on the Wings in two seasons to be sidelined/retire because of a heart problem.

Thats funny.
I knew he failed his physical but I didn't know why.
Me and a friend always joked about him during the offseason about how the Predators were going to suck without him and how the Red wings were going to be amazing and how he was the best captian ever, even better than Steve Yzerman (JOKING THOUGH- not serious). I wish he didn't have to retire becuase I couldn't wait for a preds-wings game in Nashville were everyone would boo him.
Tom Fitzgerald and Greg Johnson both retired the same year so there goes both of the preds former Captians.
So Long Captian Greg Johnson!
